Instead of a menstrual cycle use a calendar month. Apply no cream for the first week of the month. Apply 1/16 teaspoon per day for the next 12 days. Then apply 18mg teaspoon per day for the remaining days (half the daily dose in the morning and half in the evening). Women who have severe menopausal symptoms initially apply twice as much cream. In addition, women who are experiencing hot flushes apply a small dab of the cream to the inside of the wrist at the onset of a hot flush.
